Annapolis

Have to watch that-sailed on her from 70 to 73 as a Sea King pilot-I wasn't a very good seaman but was "a legend in my own mind" in ports. LOL

I agree. I understand that these ship reefs provide very good habitat for many varieties of marine animals that like shelter including a great many fish species/octopus ect. and result in higher fish populations. I also understand a lot of effort and cost goes into preparing these reef ships to be diver and environment safe and they make a great draw for the tourist/diving industry.

I have friends who are up on the Navy observer ship for dignitaries watching the sinking. I understand their father was the first Captain of the Annapolis and later the commandant of Royal Roads Military College where my friends grew up as kids living in the house on the grounds.
