Bought a pair of Amundson Savvy Captain 9' d'rig rods from Tyee marine in Campbell R. Two months later a family member busts a tip. 90 day unconditional guarantee so back to Tyee with both halves of the rod. The NEXT DAY a replacement top section arrives at Tyee. Wife picks it and the bottom half up a week later, after paying a $15 shipping fee. Back home I inspect it and discover Amundson is now using different guides and that two halves don't mate properly.
Phoned Amundson customer service yesterday and explained it the situation. Service rep asked me to send them a photo of the rod model and another of the guides. The NEXT DAY the correct tip section is delivered to my door, no charge. Living in Sayward means you don't get anything that fast or so I thought.
Am I impressed ? Oh yeah. That, ladies and gentlemen, is customer service.
