Alpha one gear ratio swap cost

Thinking about swapping from a mercruiser 4.3 to a 5.7 in my 21’ trophy and curious if anyone knows what it costs to swap gears in the leg to make it work? Wanted to pod it but having trouble finding a good used outboard to pod with so may stay with the inboard.

I’ll bet you could get away with an increase in prop pitch rather than a gear change.

What is the horsepower increase you would be getting? seems excessive...
I would think the cost would be $2000.
