All Things COVID-19

Yup this virus is a very serious business for people of all ages - it is just worse for those who are older. Viruses don't always act the same way in different people - every infection has its own set of variables that can make each case better or worse. The bottom line, is remain as isolated as possible for a long as you can until things are better.

Just heard that Wimbledon has been paying $2M a year for pandemic insurance for the past 17 years and will be paid out $141M this year. o_O

Of course he’s going to hold off as long as possible and then some, this thing is a socialists wet dream. Everyone at the governments beck and call. No parliament, no opposition, the bastards have complete control, they are in socialist heaven right now.
Paranoid, much? The agenda is driven by a lethal virus and responses are driven by science. So far, all political factions are on-board in fighting this virus and that unified front is what's needed. If getting cash into the hands of those that have had their lives upended is socialism, it's exactly what this situation calls for.

We’ll see.

And not paranoid, just aware.

For the record I don’t have an issue with the way things are being handled by any of the governments, I really don’t. Theses are unprecedented times no one could have been totally prepared for this, I think they are all doing the best they can I really do. These are not easy times to be a leader and I do feel for them it must be incredibly stressful times.

The test will come after this is over, and how soon they decide to let people get back to our lives, I know it’s not going to be easy and it’s going to have to be monitored but we will just see what has slipped through he cracks and as far as policies made and money spent and where. So far as much as we’ve been told anyways it seems like Canada is spending money where it’s needed and on those it’s needed not on frivolous issues like the Democrats insisted on in the US budget, that is just insane. We have to be diligent and ensure freedoms being taken from us are given back and policies are reworked after this is over. I just don’t trust those on the left, not when it comes to freedoms and less government it’s just not what they stand for.

Trial is to take place in Ontario and Quebec where they are in the most need.

The Province is introducing new measures to make sure British Columbians returning home from international destinations have the support they need to self-isolate and keep their communities safe from COVID-19.

The measures, which include a new legal requirement to provide a self-isolation plan, support the provincial health officer’s travel orders and reinforce the federal emergency order under the Quarantine Act requiring people entering Canada to self-isolate for 14 days.

I just had my first call this year (yesterday) from a group of 4 inquiring about a fishing charter for today (April8th).. They asked if I was available and because in 35 years of business I have never ONCE said I'm closed I said yes....followed quickly by where you from (as my brain said wait a minute) ...they said there are 4 of us staying at a B&B in Sooke and we are from Vancouver. I figured out after I hung up they had been making calls for awhile trying to find someone to take them out. I said I'm actually closed because there is no way I can maintain social distancing on a small boat....he hung up really quick. So there you go.... there are people out there who just don t fu%king get it and are why this will carry on way longer than it needs to. WTF are 4 people on vacation in a B&B from Vancouver? ...and WTf is anyone allowing them on a ferry to potentially spread this here?

To me this is the graph I think best represents whats going on. The only problem with it is the lag time it takes from transmission to hospital of 10 to 14 days.
