ADF&G has lowered the sportfish bag limit for king salmon in Southeast, after an unexpectedly successful season so far. The Emergency Order was issued after it appeared that Southeast sport anglers were going to overshoot their allocation for chinook -- by anywhere from 3,460 to 12,650 fish.

If you accept that were in a warming trend, If you accept that warmer waters are moving north.

Then this trend of bering sea salmon doing well and golf of alaska salmon doing **** is going to continue. This is the new normal, Funny to see all the comments on social media blaming DFO for not having a bristol bay like fishery. There are lots of things we can blame on DFO but IMO this aint one.

I would not feel to bad for them, 200k quota and most of it comes from canada, and the lower 48

While evil east and south coast colonial sustenance fishers in bc cant keep a hatchery marked fish , and then only up to 80cm ,

p.s. I like jumping on this woke bandwagon of labeling certain members of a population, cant beat them join them, ...sic
