Good lord, what the heck is that excavator doing digging up the shoreline at Stories beach (just south of Campbell River)? Phoned fisheries, mailbox full??? . Took a walk down to the scene of the crime to see what is going on. Well, the Dept of highways is rehabilitating the shoreline, but not just by throwing a bunch of rip rap alone the shore either. They are actually bringing in logs and such, and securing them with cables to rocks and tying them back. The plan is to help nature come back.Hopefully we will see a return to nature here.
