Sandheads was slow for most I think. Had to put our time in and landed 3 nice ones. The first two were a double header causing chaos and tense moments when they crossed one another a few times. Anchovies at 44’ in the morning and 83 later in the day.

I heard it was on fire in the morning

Ya. We chatted with reeltime who was out before us and he did well early.
Serves me right, I didn’t get out til 8am. Took out a surprise guest a cousin from England. T10 produced a nice wild ho and some broken dreams with a lost nice one. Fished the Cap 11-1 and not a sniff but I avoided the pack jammed up at the mouth. First time in a while with no fish heading back to the dock but I think my cousin was happier with the scenery than I am with a couple nice springs.

Back at it early tmw and it’ll be business time

I took a couple guys who don't fish often. We went in the derby to sandheads. It was non stop action 700am until 1200pm. There were a ton of rookie mistakes, but I let the guys do everything they wanted and they both got into the biggest fish of their life's. A 22lb and a 16lb. Fight of the day was a wild coho. Biggest coho of the year. Clean release. Spoons and Herring produced equally. We didn't go to the weigh in. Maybe we should have but I have a tyee to catch and time is running out. It slowed down after 1200. But fish are being caught.

Good morning at sand heads, fished sun up till noon, came home with a 20, 18, 17 and a 12, all whites. No gong shows today fished like pros. Caught 1 on a 4 inch homeland security and the rest on the unknown spoon that caught me 90% of the fish this year. Anyone know what it is? (See pic) I got it used in craigslist fishing tackle deal.

Also released some pin popping wild coho and a few more chinook. Ton of boats out there! A few dont seem to have anyone at the wheel lol. All in all gorgeous day!

Looks like an old Luhr Jensen diamond king

What a derby, I had a **** morning, lost a massive one after it fouled on someone else's rigger...1245 sent down one last herring and boom, 20 mins to box 29.1lbs good for 6th today and a new BBQ for the cabin. The one that broke off was larger but happy is off and running up the Fraser with my favorite custom hoochie!
