Fuel tank leaking, wondering if anyone has tackled removing and re-installing, any info and tips appreciated. Thanks guys

It's a concern that I have, too. On my older, 1993 boat, I'd definitely have to pull the engine to replace the fuel tank but, it's aluminum. I can access enough of it from the engine compartment to quite easily cut a panel out of the side (after completely draining and ventilating the tank, of course). I'd then get a flexible fuel bladder made to fit inside the remainder of the old tank. I already have access for the filler hose, vent and fuel guage sender, so cut an access panel in the old tank for those in the bladder. Then get a slightly larger panel to cover the opening of the ones removed - no screws though!
