Covid is not a drama it is a pandemic and I apologize to you in advance in case one of my idiot unvaccinated relatives passes the virus on to one of your loved ones and it puts them in the ICU or worse takes their life.

Regarding hobbies hopefully not much will really change post Covid besides an increase in boating time, thanks for asking.

Good for you, Bill! I'm totally in agreement. If it wasn't for these selfish, unvaccinated fools this pandemic would be winding down by now.

Feel free to spend your money how ever you like. Hopefully you are up front about your opinions and actions with them. Not just on a public forum claiming some moral high ground. Remember they have a right to their opinions just as you stated to me.

Wrong again. If your unvaccinated your the problem. Being over weight may have contributed to their demise but if they hadn’t caught covid they might still be alive. See how that works? You can have underlying health conditions and still survive but catching covid finished you off. It’s a super simple concept so I dont get how people can’t grasp it. Anyways. I’ve wasted enough time arguing.

Contributed to the demise? Being fat made this into what it is. 75% of the people clogging up hospital beds and ventilators were obese. But the healthy people are the problem here? If you can’t see your pecker you better hit the gym because I hate to break it to you, vaccinated people are also passing covid to others. Anyhow, I’m going to check out before I get banned.

Well, for anyone local to me who's looking to get back in Bill's will, I notice they're whacking up people in the parking lot of the Ladysmith Save-on-Foods.

Come for the car show, stay for the moral high ground. I let them stab me with the Moderna just now - apparently better performance against delta. Anyway, they're doing a brisk business here so it seems to be an effective program.
 
Folks... Step back and take a look. All this is about finding ways to divide us even more. Vaccinated vs Non-Vac, Left vs Right, Black vs White, Rich vs Poor. Media and government wants us picking a team.

As long as we are fighting with each other, we won't focus on our governments and the system. If we did we would turn our energy against them.

We pride our selves as Canadians on being tolerant and accepting. Let's take a breath and try harder.

Fact, not all liberals are dumb & not all conservatives are climate hating rednecks.

If you want a tiered system for healthcare based on the vaccine then we will need to do it for everything. It will not end at the vaccine. It’s almost as if you guys want to move to the social credit system they have in China. Anyhow, my opinions differ from some of you guys and that’s never going to change. Have a good day.

Well said, man. One way or another, we're all in one national boat and have much more in common than not.

I'm about as far to the right as it gets, politically - and yet while I may not always agree on how best to do it, preserving our natural environment is one thing I value very highly. And I try never to let my libertarian beliefs prevent me from having friends of any political stripe, as long as they're good human beings. We aren't all going to agree all the time but we can all at least assume that everyone is working from the position that whatever they believe in, they think it will make the world a better place.

This is why I love Bonnie Henry's slogan: Be Calm, Be Kind, Be Safe. We can all benefit from all three, not just on vaccines, but on dealing with a pandemic as a society.

I got both my shots willingly and promptly, but I would greatly object if this became policy. I hope this remains just talk amongst frustrated health region executives. Dictating to people what they do with their bodies is counter to democratic values, and denying treatment to any group within the community overrides the entire concept of public health. As much as it's their own fault when the unvaxed land in ICU with covid, there would be any number of us in hospital at the same time as a result of poor life choices: obesity, smoking, alcohol, drugs, driving too fast, etc. We don't get to judge.
 
Cleaned up the thread as it was veering off the rails. We said right from the beginning of this thread, that the personal choices and views, along with any politically related views, would be a debate to be had somewhere else. Let's keep it on track and mostly informational, rather than personal in nature.
 
Starting to see more and more in all media terms like, endemic, need to lean to live with it. Natural immunity ect…

also things like natural immunity. Exposing to the live virus and two dose may give the best long term protection.

seems like we are gonna be shifting to a learn to live with it strategy now.
 
I think you'll find that's part of the reason for restrictions being lifted fairly quickly this past spring. The rationale is this: if we do have a surge in cases, we have the summer to deal with it, before the weather cools and we all move indoors again.
