Best $250 or under You’ve Spent On Your Boat?

I’ll count that.
for the record you should’ve jacked it from the Popemobile and given it to me for my birthday.

$30 for parts and cable to connect E-tec to MFD. Overlay selected engine data onto plotter screen instead of buying a second MFD.

$50 for connectors, cable and serial converter to connect Etec to laptop for using diagnostic software.

$30 for transducer and parts to read water pump pressure, added that data to plotter screen too. Keep a close eye on condition of water pump.

Ah I see we've raised the bar...so without a doubt the new seastar xtreme kicker cables i installed a few months back. I think those cost me less than $250, I remember not being concerned enough to use the burner visa...Anyway the previous set never worked well, not even brand new. These things are so slick its unreal.

I found a 6' strip of Keelguard half price on Amazon about 5 years ago. Really like being able to beach the boat without having to worry about scraping up the fiberglass. It also neatly covered up the scratches from the previous owner. Also, I put together a clothesline anchor system which probably was under $200, which is awesome for boat camping, and spending afternoons at a beach without having to shift the boat with the tides.

another fun thread...

What is your favourite mod you’ve done to your boat that cost under $100?
* edited to $250 as we know how nothing is cheap anymore

I just ordered 32’ of white LED strip lighting for the gunnels. It made me very happy on my last boat. It charges flashers and helps you get set up for those 04:00 summer fishing sessions! Pics will be posted after installing.

what switch are you wiring them into or are you adding one

Finally got around to adding walking ramps to my trailer this weekend. Will be nice on those shallow ramps. No more balancing act

Where did you get those?
The first set at Steveston but after refusing to shop there I found them on Amazon.
Sweet but is that foam enough to keep those rods from falling on the crew's head? I've seen how you run that thing in heavy seas haha..
On the back side of the tip section there's a locking ring. These are great other than the foam can chunk out but they still work when it does. I run way bigger screws than they come with and I added backing behind them under the liner.

Looks great, I'm trying to envision how I can add these to my blue canvas but all I keep coming up with are zap straps.

Which kicker throttle control did you have and would you recommend it?
It was a trollmaster pro 3, one of the servo style throttle controls. It has a digital control to really fine tune your trolling speed if thats something thats important to you. The reason I had it was my previous kicker was a tiller model and it was the easiest solution to allow me to adjust kicker rpm without leaving the helm.

Im pretty particular about my trolling speed and the "angle of the dangle" so in that sense it was awesome. It was also pretty easy to install and I never had any issues with it once it was installed.

My new boat will have dual binnacle controls for both motors, and the kicker will have power trim and electric start, so I wont be using it anymore but I will probably miss the ability to fine tune my speeds from time to time.

My “bait table”. I guess it’s more of a fish table but you get my point. Gravity holds it down and gravity holds it up. Hinge design is pretty simple.
