Last season I said to myself "SELF, no more reels...stop buying fishing reels. You have too many!!" So I listened to myself over and over again for the past nine months. Then, all of a sudden it was brought to my attention that the shop where I work, had a one of a kind #islanderreels TR3 downrigger reel. As you will see, it was hard for me to resist it's unique features. So much so...that I bought the damn thang. Lucky Six's.

The Devils reel 666. Brave man to buy that serial number.

Here’s a shot of the unicorn we found in Haida Gwaii last week. 31.5 lbs, even though we all thought 28 at first. It got bigger all day as we kept on checking the fish box to admire it

This right now along with numerous other numbers = death on ECVI. Six and seven inch plugs, trolled 2.5 to 4.5 mph. All depths from surface down.
