Going to Kona for 2 weeks at the end of the month and have access to a boat. Looking for any info or locations to do some jigging will be taking a number of Wilson Dart jigs.

Never done it but i believe they jig for bottom fish - everything else is trolling the FAD buoy's. I believe the bottom fish are DEEP as in 400-500ft or more.

Right Ericl--- its more like work than jigging as we know it. I had one trip out of Kona a few years back, and high speed jigging at 400 feet gets old VERY quickly.. especially if you get sharked after wrassing up a fish from the depths, only to lose it below the boat !

Just don't end-up like the guy on Maui who had his lower leg bitten-off about 4 years back Kayak fishing - his friend found him dead.
