Barkley Sound Ling

Howdy!

Thinking of taking the kids out tomorrow and they aren’t really offshore ready at this point, so was thinking of playing around in Barkley Sound.

Given it is slow for salmon inside I think we will target lings. Will be fun for the kids because they refer to lings as the trolls of the sea. Who doesn’t love seatrolls?

Would love any guidance on where we might play. Thinking we might troll as it keeps things interesting for the kids. Have you found there is an ideal depth contour to work in the sound if targeting nice eating size lings? Not looking for wormy monsters, looking to teach the kids about catching and cooking their own food.
