4.3 L Merc Oil Pan

Anybody have any issues with there oil pan, I have a 2000 trophy and as my engine is out of my boat I'm contemplating on changing the oil pan. It has some white spots where obviously it has been effected by the salt. Anyone know how long they should last or recommend a treatment to slow the thinning?

10-15 yrs i had to replace one on mine a few years ago but have since replaced that engine
the newer one has an alloy pan so should be good for a few more......lol

I'm sure there are lots of products out there. I haven't researched it very much but I also need the replace my oil pan. Ford makes a brush on high temp anti corrosive. It apparently works well.
