There is nothing sweet about a 350 yammy imo has to be one of if not the worst motor ever built

I don't think you need to go to 300 or 350 hp. Island Outfitters had a podded 26' back when I was repowering in 2006. It was a 225 or 250 Yamaha, and the guide said it would go over 40 mph, which seems fast enough to me. [My 23' with 200 hp diesel duoprop tops out at just over 35]. I'd talk to Island Outfitters before I invested.

Depending on what’s available at the time when i am ready I might just have to settle for something between 200-300 to get her on the water until the right one comes along...

If that half motor has a good powerhead I’d buy it as well Robert.

Correct, there is one working motor with 800 hours (port motor) one blown motor with 800 hours (center motor) and one motor with 800 hours on the leg and everything but only about 100 hours on a remanufactured and replaced powerhead (starboard).

I am not a mechanic, I just do all the purchasing and selling for a fishing lodge that has a few whalers with triple 300s on them.

Thank you,

Subject: Three 300 motors

CAUTION: External Email

HI there, I may be interested in one of them, I have a 26’ Hourston that I just redone. So to read your add correctly 2 motors has 800hrs and the other one has 100hrs with the new power head? Just curious are you a mechanic? how did you come to have all these motors? LOL

A lot of investment and messing around imo..

O com'on mr Bill, I am sure your boat is finished to the same level, you put on a good front :)

Yes, yes allot of messing around but that's what ya gots to do, any other way would just not be acceptable :) Gel/sand repeat repeat x4 LOL

I literally stood on these shelves and jumped on them, no give to them at all :) you can put 200lbs of cannon balls in them... they are 7"Wx4"H, I probably could have made them a bit wider as they had to be scribed so I lost some width. I guess you can always add to the 4" face... I think I have enough room to add a second shelf if I want just below, which might not be a bad idea for extra storage.

I am going to dunk her in the lake soon and get her up on the trailer a bit more...I can't wait! :)

If you are going to build another shelf set it up so they function as the coveted toe rails like I did mine..
Bump under shelf to wrap your toes into, like 1/2" rounded for 3/4". Layer of cloth and ugly free epoxy paint.. ugly!
