Anyone here fishing for herring out of French creek? Thinking it’s getting close. Any reports would be great! Once they get there how long does it last? TIA

Otter was good to us this afternoon. Got out there about 2:30. Pinks were a little slower than the last few days. Took about 2 hrs to get 4 pinks. Then around 5-5:30 we boated 2 nice chinooks. About 78 and 80 cm. Green glow coho killer spoons worked for both springs.

Out this morning (Thursday) 7-10:30. Quite foggy so we stayed at possession. Started out quiet, a few shakers, then around 9:45 landed a nice fat 79cm then 30 min later another around 12 lbs. both on coho killer spoons. Dragged bait on one side for about 2.5 hrs before giving up on it.

Out today (Wed) at Otter, fished 8-11:30. Seemed to be a bite around 9. We lost one at the boat on bait and landed one on coho killer spoon. The the ebb started flowing and things went quiet until about 11, when a boat near us seemed to get 2 keeper springs in about 20 min. Nothing more for...

Late post from last Saturday. Was in the derby but no springs that day for us. Fished hard up and down otter, mostly with bait. A couple pinks and wild coho, that’s it. It was a gorgeous day. Took these shots.

There seemed to be lots of coho off otter yesterday.

Out yesterday, 10-2 again. Stayed around Possession/Secretary. Fairly slow for us. Couple hits and misses, couple small springs, a few pinks and finally and nice keeper spring 13 lbs. Pesca spoon was the hot lure for us.

Out today 10-2, otter was very busy, decided to start at Muir. Not much action for first hour, very little marks or bait. Then at 11 bam! Played a very energetic spring, couple of great runs, got to the boat, measured, over!! Released, never came out of the water and not touched. Rod back out...

I think if it is that obvious you should say something. It’s likely they are not aware of the rules. If you are able to educate them, then next time they will release the big ones. Just my 2 cents.

We fished Muir from 7:30 - noon today. Felt like we were the only ones not catching fish at Muir! We tried bait and spoons, and combed the depths from 29 - 89 to no avail. Saw lots of others doing much better. Englishman - was that you and Mrs. Englishman in the orange shirts? Water was...

We fished Muir this AM. Lines in the water around 7:30. Lost one right away. Saw quite steady action all day, including a hog caught by Spencer's. Gorgeous day on the water! Finally landed a small chunky spring, perfect for the Bbq mid morning. Both fish on anchovie, around 50 feet.

No luck for us yesterday. Out for a Saturday afternoon fish. Went to Otter to catch the flood. Lines in at 1:30, already flooding. By 4 the rain was coming down pretty good and we headed in. Did not see any fish caught. A few small ones at the dock. Next time.

Out Friday morning in the fog. Beautiful morning. Otter, into the beach area and down to Muir. Just pinks. Did see a nice spring caught at otter around 10:30.
