No holes to drill, you can play music from your phone or any Bluetooth devise. Also anyone on board can put some music on for variety.
Can be used on shore and other places also.

I have one but wanted a dedicated system for the boat that i dont have to remember to pack.

I bought a stereo from sonic electronics online it was cheap worth a look it's a US company

This^^^.I highly recommend Sonic Electronics as well.I bought a complete Rockford Fosgate system from them 3 years ago and saved huge.Mind you our dollar isn't what it was 3 years ago but I basically saved over $500 over what it would have cost me here in Canada even after shipping and duty.Very pleased with the system and having been a total audiophile since I was a young buck I know a good clear distortion free system when I hear one.Check them out online.
I couldn't find anyone that could even come close to their prices.
