WTB: 351 Block for OMC Sterndrive

Hey guys,

Long shot - but my friend's boat has given up the ghost and after some in depth trouble shooting (carb rebuild, new ignition coil, distributor) he took it to a mechanic. The guy said that he's lost enough compression in enough cylinders that it won't start and the motor is pooched.

Would anyone have an OMC 5.8L / 351 Ford V8 block they're willing to part with? I can put you in touch with him. He lives in Metchosin, but I'm sure would travel a bit to buy one as it's cheaper than a new crate engine or selling it for pennies on the dollar.

I have sent him the link to the thread and awaiting a response. I don't know how old his motor is (was?).
