Winds got a bit nasty yesterday

If only there was a way to fix this problem.... oh wait this has been an on going issue for years and there is a way to fix it, just need to support and pass a bill to take steps to close the loophole.

Can we all agree that it matters not who brings this bill to parliament and just support it or do we have to follow our "tribe" and just reject it.

Just read the bill [it's short] and then signed the petition. Not a big fan of Malcolmson but I don't care the colour of the cat as long as it catches mice :) Thanks for posting this GLG

I could use a free windlass!

You better hurry...haha. Just was walking the dog and there are guys working on the two boats on the rocks outside the maritime museum as you go around Vanier towards the launch. Not sure if they were owners or not as the boat that is still relatively intact had 2 guys on it with drills, sawzalls etc and not looking as though they were being delicate in getting into it. Boat that is completely destroyed had a guy underneath I can only imagine trying to remove the prop or something like that, but they were taking advantage of the low tide.

There are a couple legal ways to do that (pertinent in the lower mainland with lots of people around looking):
1/ contact the insurance company (if they had any) and offer a price for salvage rights;
2/ if it floats (somewhat) salvage it and go through the Receiver of Wrecks

Or....

be quick and act like you belong and hope nobody takes pictures. Sounds like they opted for this method....

The funny thing about that spot is that being behind the Maritime Museum hundreds & hundreds of pics are taken of those wreck daily-but 99.999999% of people taking them have no idea WTH happened.

Speaking of hunks of sh*t......has anyone see the big junkyard of a boat that has taken up residence off the dog beach on Kits Point?

I'll take a pic tomorrow but what a sh*t show. Tarped off the front, apparently washing a big white tarp in the water off the stern. Watched the tender being paddled by some kid who may as well be stirring tea with the effectiveness of his paddling come in this morning with some chick. Tons of bags....I was thinking it may be the last day of accommodations on a piece of sh*t yacht. The tender is equally gross....piece of crap metal boat with an engine that may be circa 1965, no cowling and judging by the fact they paddled in....doesn't run, just there as ballast.

The other squatter boats are eye sores but this thing takes it up to a whole new level.

It was funny watching the second trip in the tender....guy started rowing in yet was sitting facing forward, kept going in circles as he was rowing backwards....then he started yelling at the chick with him and the younger dude....then chick lights up a smoke and turns away from him in what I assume was disgust. Meanwhile the chick with a bunch of luggage on the beach already starts yelling at them.........they seem like a very nice family unit. :p:confused::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Had this song going through my head the entire time.
