I caught a couple of Bonita tuna today, about 6-8 lb size. One of them became carpaccio, Mexican style.

Freeze the fillets for an hour, sharpen a knife. Slice the fish paper thin onto the nice cold platter.

Drizzle with sesame oil and light soy.

Scatter finely chopped onion and capers. Lime wedges of course, but no juice yet, this isn't ceviche.

In the fridge until serving time. Some shavings of cheese for the umami part. Good parm would be best, we only had some aged cheddar. Now squeeze those limes and eat!

Early bday dinner resulted in pulling out a nice pack of Moose steaks, last of the the garden green beans, mashing some taters with garlic/cream cheese, home made cesar salad, a nice Red, and a choc ganache cheesecake, definitely slept good last night.

Thanks, with the time change and sunny weather had to make use of the warm sunlight and take the BBQ for a spin. Steaks were a nicely done rare-to med rare!
