I finally took a chance on the big red rocks two summers ago and I was pleasantly surprised. I had never seen them that big until I went to Bamfield. I am a fan now.

They are awesome fresh.

Yeah, when they have the big lobster claws and you have one or two dungees they go in the pot! I had also packed my license but didn’t keep it in the right spot in my dive bag so I figured it wasn’t worth chancing it. I was happy w a nice buzz bomb and a sting Zelda.

Had so much fondue New Beers' Eve there wasn't much of a hunger yesterday.
Ended up having our New Year's Eggs Benny for supper.
And yes, complete with a fine Merlot!

New Years day dinner , Smoked Prime Rib!(miss labeled ) Excellent Thanks for the input( ab and ringo) will be our go to method from now on "The Reverse Sear" This meat had been in the freezer for 2yrs, So tender n juicy. Best Regards

yes I roasted them in the oven first then slow simmer.... then add a little chicken bouillon to it... so good the left over broth I made up a prawn noodles for lunchforgot to I also added just a little yellow curry to the prawn noodles
