What's for dinner tonight ?

Yesterday, we had two eel, egg and spam Musubi and a tuna and salmon musubi balls. All for $14 and it feed two.

For my dessert, I had Malasadas puffs, Portuguese donuts filled with coconut cream or custard. They come warm out of the deep fryer and are very tasty.

Lenard’s bakery has been in Oahu for over 55 years and at 730 there is a line up of 75+ people waiting to get the breakfast snack.

We were at Costco (Oahu) yesterday and they had fresh Mahi Mahi. It was a little pricy for a 1.35 lb for $25.65 ($18.99lb us), but cheaper than anywhere else. I cut it in ½ for another meal.

Marinated in lemon juice, garlic, and a little S&P for 30 minutes. Then pan fried it in butter.
Added some wild rice and a salad. Very tasty and the texture was great.

They did have halibut, but it was $31lb (us) or $40lb Canadian and the salmon was all farmed. While here we will only eat fish we don’t get back home

Tried something different today. Fish pot pie. salmon and ling, potatoes, onions, mixed veg, garlic and a can of cream of chicken soup base. was on point! 10/10 will do again. Poached the fish in milk first and then used the liquid as the base to build off of. The crust got a bit dark but still great. Followed by a chocolate cake the neighbour dropped off.

You are eating way too well in Hawai!
Just doing the same thing everyday.

Wake-up (which is good) eat, go snorkeling and swimming, eat, go for a walk or to the pool, then to happy hour, then eat.

Lots of eating going on in a day.

Noticed a new thing yesterday, lots of Hells Angels in town and most patched from California. I guess everyone need a Christmas getaway.
