I was walking through a sporting goods store after work this evening and this mooching reel caught my eye.. Felt solid and the drag seemed easy to adjust. Can't beat the price, it was on sale for $50.. What is this reel? Is it decent or junk??

Looks like an Alvey reel, no. 456A from Australia.

Yep, an Alvey. I have a couple of them and they work fine.

you seem them in used Vic from time to time...
I used to have a mustard yellow one.
they work, hard to get parts for.
