I found some information on electronic anitfouling systems for smaller boats. It was quite interesting I am not thinking of using it on our build but one can see that these types of systems have the potential to gain more and more popularity over time.

There is a canadian distributor here in BC The Master Series antifouling system will cover up to 30ft. The systems are designed for plate boats but will also work well on FG hulls.
