Ucluelet Boat Launch

I know there is some talk of the Island West boat launch in the past. I havent launched there since 2015. I am curious if there is any recent repairs to that launch to make it better.

The public launch is fine but low tides its hard to get the boat off without salting the rims... is island west any better today?

They haven't put much money into that place. The launch hasn't changed in the years I've gone.

Islands West low tide isn't good, the ramp ends and there are a few rocks. I’d grab a hitch extension off Facebook marketplace and stick to the public launch. Truck parking overnight at islands West is a pain, you have to separate the trailer. Dock wasnt in great shape last year.
