Sooke public launch now ticketing long truck/trailers

Just an FYI that Robbins parking is ticketing you if your truck and trailer hangs out past the yellow line at the Sooke public launch.
I found out the hard way by not noticing the new signs on Saturday morning.
It sucks because when I arrived the top longest spots were taken up by cars from hotel guests, so I parked in a spot that was 43ft long but hung out past the yellow line by 2.5ft.
Seems like your only option now if you have a boat over 16ft is to park out on West coast Rd. Which is neither safe or convenient.
Hopefully I save someone else getting a ticket.

So they ticketed you but not the vehicles with no trailers parked in the spots with signs saying trailer parking? That ramp pisses me off. Most times I go there are multiple hotel guests parked in the trailer spots.

The issue is non-patrons using those spots to park at the hotel. Forcing guys to park in spots too small. I’ve given up on launching there. This should help the launch next door.
