Tyson vs Paul....

So, a 57 / 58 year old Mike Tyson is going into the ring against Jake Paul, who the only pro he's seen was Tommy Fury. All the circus not withstanding that match, if Tyson gets close it's all over round 1, imo.

I'm well aware of a 57 year old vs 28 in terms of cardio and stamina, but I think Jake Paul has finally made a super dumb decision. From Mike himself "It's a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch; as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones, and now I plan to finish him."

So, I guess we will see if this match actually gets off the ground. The next months will be blustery af.

Discuss.

Lot's of rumors about 18oz gloves and headgear.

Tyson doesn't need cardio or stamina to throw just one good combination...and finish Paul. Tyson was never the biggest guy, the fastest guy, the popular guy or the fighter with the longest reach. He was always the guy with the most fearless determination. 58 is just a number.

I’m guessing you have seen Tyson’s training videos, it’s crazy watching a near 60 year old move like that.

He has the same brain as when he was 20, plus 38 more years of experience. There will be a time when he's done but now is not it. Paul, sorry dude, should have stuck with YouTube. Maybe it's an exhibition. If not, I hope he doesn't get more than his ego hurt.

Im not sure about this! Paul beat Anderson Silva who is a pretty decent boxer and quite a bit younger and was more active than Tyson.. Tyson couldn't put away an older Roy Jones Jr. Hate what Paul is doing but have a feeling he'll win..

It's so tough to believe anything these days. So much speculation about the behind the scenes "rules" in both of those fights. Who knows. I tend to believe all the stuff that makes Mike look better. I'm a big Tyson fan.

Personally, I think Mike will hang around for a round maybe round and a half then take care of business. The whole thing about duration and stamina is vastly diminished you consider how Tyson got here, how he came up, the battles he fought and the indisputable intelligence he has long shown in the ring.

Different game now, but the naive me hopes this is the pivot back to fights as they once were. Put this nonsense to bed once and for all.

Anyone check the vegas line yet? Answered my own question:

DraftKings Sportsbook opened the 27 year-old Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) as the -360 betting favorite, which means a $100 bet would result in a $27.78 profit, plus the initial investment of $100. Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) clocks in as the +300 underdog, turning a $100 wager into $300 return, plus the initial investment of $100

I gotta be in vegas late june and will absolutely be laying down on this thing.

Is that on the website? I see it at 130

It's a lose, lose for Paul..... if he wins he looks like a chump because he's beating up seniors. If he loses he looks like a chump because he lost to the first real challenge he's had.

Does every one remember how old George Foreman was when he knocked out Micheal Moore who was a 25 year old contender for the crown...How old was george...48 years old....and he looked overweight in ring,....but if you have the experience.....and still have power for a few rounds....thats the key....these publicity fights are proof people have no respect for the sport....its like WWE wrestling....a circus stunt

Nothing would make me happier than a Tyson haymaker knocking the cocky Tic Toc twat out!
How does a champion rate another great fighter:
“He threw terrific shots with both hands and with bad intentions. Great champion: chin, heart, determination, work ethic, demeanor,” Tyson said of Holyfield."
With those 5 qualities in mind, look at Paul.
