The blob

I suspect this bad weather is hopefully putting and end to the blob. This has been one of the more normal winters I can remember with multiple hits from storms and the air and water temps are now down to where they normally should be. This is anecdotal info however when the original blob was in full effect the weather was much much warmer, drier and had a complete lack of storms. Im not going to lie those 4 years or so were very nice winters here on the coast.
I work and play in the water year round. winter Water temps during the blob were consistently around 12-15 C when they should not be above 11C. I know that the surf shops saw a massive reduction in the sales of 6mm suits where people were going back to 5 mm suits. This is again starting to show a shift back to 6m suits.
The blob was nice but Ill gladly live without it if its absence is good for salmon.
