Storage of outboards in water during cold months

Looking for some advice. Recently purchased a boat (used to own an outboard) and have it in the water at a marina that doesn’t really allow you to keep engines down. Too muddy….with low tides. What is the proper storage recommendation? Should engines be lowered so they are below surface? Or should I just pull the boat and store with engines down in the driveway. Have high hopes of getting out and burning some fuel since they lifted the 30 litre restriction. Now we have to just keep it to a minimum 10 person capacity????? Good thing it’s not a yacht.

you are going to get a lot of opinions on this subject. my belief is keep the outboard out of the water in most situations. Always zinc to the max. The one exception is when it is consistently below freezing. Rain finds its way into inlet and outlet hoses which can crack or break when they freeze in a upright position. This is less likely to happen in a down position. My two cents
