Their nice to fish with. No line creep just have to watch ya don’t crank down on the drag . And if you’re stacking using a tr3 and a mr3or 2 ya have to watch ya don’t back off the drag on the mr2 or 3 like you do with the tr3. Back lash big time . “You learn pretty quick “.

Interesting - I have not had to back off my TR3's to lower them on the DR. I set them to allow a fish to run when it hits and is off the clip...never have to touch my drags all day. I have a nice arch on the rods, no issues. Awesome reels. I will say that to let your line back before clipping with a TR3 is a touch slower than MR2 or even MR3 with their drag backed off though. :)
I found the same. I only have one and it's so much nicer than the mr3s for that reason. One drag setting to set gear as well as let the fish run. Set it and forget it.

Interested to know why your selling?

I only had two of the TR3a... and when stacking rods I want all four reels the same so the drag setting becomes muscle memory. I already had 4 Abels on that boat so it seemed I may as well just stay with the one brand since I already owned them. The TR3 are very nice reels, smooth consistent drag, zero maintenance, beautiful build quality... If I had four I would have kept them.
