Last year they had the 77 cm rule, does anybody have any idea what to expect this coming year? Would love to hear they drop that and have the one over and one under per day.

I would expect them to cut it to one chinook per day two possession, since the numbers have been so bad the last few years.

Hi guys, most likely there is going to be any changes for chinook this year, the expectations around here are that it will be slightly better than last year. Size wise the 77cm limit isn't going to go anywhere until the WCVI wild chinook stock numbers come back, right now they are low and show no signs of real improvement. The WCVI hatchery stocks are doing ok and are basically supporting the fishery right now. The only thing that we will have to worry about is halibut and how we are all going to share a smaller pie...to be determined.

Millsy is right, there are no planned changes to the regs over last season that I have heard from any of the SFAB processes other than some discussion of perhaps employing surf line area closures. The outlook for most rivers is about the same as last year, and well above last year for Columbia River (upper) runs. This should result in a good off shore fishery for WCVI.
