scotty trap puller

I got a Scotty Trap Ease puller for hauling my crab and prawn traps, but I'm sitting here looking blankly at it wondering it works. Seems to me I have float attached at one end and trap at t'other... how do I get the rope onto the enclosed pulley without detaching one of them? Sure there's a simple answer but I'm not seeing it from here, too much other stuff going on.

it just goes over the top of the pulley. keeps the rope off the side of the boat and allows you to pull horizonataly

I really do need to get some down time. For some reason I thought the rope needed to go through the pulley housing. What a fine effort for my first post!

Thanks Eman, I looked at that pic on the Scotty site a couple of times, but in my daze I was still sure I had to somehow thread the rope through between the pulley and its enclosure. <walks away shaking head at his own stupidity>
