had trouble last time out , nothing happened when I flipped the switch. Wiggled it a bit and up she came then same thing next time then I had to smack it to work. Dumb question I probably need a switch or is there a way to clean it? There was all that algae and maybe it's clogged. Been using these forever but never had this problem thanks in advance...........BRS

I unplugged it and no corrosion to speak of. Plugged it back in and nothing and then I wiggled the switch and it started working again.........BRS

I would still open up the plug and check the wire connections. Next is to give Andrew at Scotty a call and see what he suggests. Typically with switch issues it either works all time or it doesn't. Not much in between that a wiggle can fix. It might be a connection issue / corrossiin on the head side as well.
Good luck and thight lines.

You can also check the auto stop switch, it's the little paddle that the stopper bead hist to shut it off, it could be clogged up with crap and staying open.
