Rebecca Reid

So, who do you think will pick the next RD?

the ability to follow orders gets one promoted in the public service, OBD. Those who do not - stay at the lower levels. And it is throughout the public service - not just in Ottawa.

Same too for most large corporations - we can only hope that the next RDG is a person of integrity and commitment to fair minded public policy. Anyone who thinks management decisions are made strictly based on science or data hasn't been paying attention to the reality of political influence. There is only so much any person in any government role can do in face of the political direction they are given - if you want real change, focus on getting a new bus driver in Ottawa - the current one is a socialist practicing the politics of idealism IMO.

And that is what she did.
Dont expect the next one to be any different, they will do as directed by Ottawa.

I don't like the alternatives either. Too bad we can't just drain the swamp.
