I have seen the same optical illusion while fishing from the shore here in Victoria. First the ship will look very tall and then appear to float
above the water. Quite the site to see. I have also seen a double sunrise while fishing early morning. The sun will have almost fully risen and the
second image appear just below it for a few seconds. The second image will stretch and then disappear. for a split second it will look like an atomic blast cloud. .... very strange to indeed.
