Prawns, Barkley Sound now?

I'm just packing up for a couple weeks around Ucluelet. We'll have plenty of time for fishing and exploring and I'm pretty excited about that. I'm just wondering, should I bother bringing the prawn trap? I'm pretty new to prawning and I'll be pulling it by hand, so if my chances of a haul are low, I won't bother. Are they out there this time of year?

Prawning was okay until 10 days ago. Now we are only getting 3 or 4 per trap.
