After re-reading the regulations for prawning i realized i am not able to put 4 traps on one line unless i have a scotchmen on both ends, So instead of one line with four traps wouldn't it be better to have two lines two traps per line?...Dam..why two scotchmen? what is the reasoning for that rule, im sure i could fit all four 50 feet apart on one 600 foot line n scotchmen. Just wondering why the DFO has that rule.. can anyone shed so light on this subject for me?

The reason for marking both ends is to prevent others from
laying on your gear.

OH wow, makes total sense , i have 600' guess i will need 400 more n a scotchmen...I saw your Beauty boat on the tinny thread, looks like it has seen a prawn or two.. thanks for the reply...
