We are planning a trip the last week of july. I have a 20 foot Bentz sled that has a 225 merc jet would that be ok for chinook fishing?

You absolutely need one of these for Chinook. I'm sure you can rent them almost anywhere.

Lots of luck to ya. There is no way I would ever consider taking a sled off shore - you will need a kidney and back replacement after your first trip. You would be better off finding some protected waters like Barkley or Nootka Sound.
