i need a new starter for my Honda 90 the Internet price is around 100 unless you buy an actual Honda starter they are around 300 just wondered if anyone has an opinion on whether it's worth paying 3 times the price for actual Honda parts
I would bet the rebuild cost will be at least $100.
I would get the generic one and install it then get price on a rebuild
on the old one and keep it as a back up
I think I have a year and a half on my generic eBay starter. I think I could replace it 5 time for the price of the Yami one that failed, after 8 years and 300 hours.
I have taken mine to Brian Roberts and the cost was right in the $100 range. They have done my 200 Yamaha, 9,9 Yamaha and my Dodge Cummins diesel, all were about the same to rebuild.
