The Zaballos Hotel burned to the ground last night during the height of the windstorm. Apparently the power to the town was surging as a result of the storm. The outside of the building where the electrical mast was situated caught first-- and inspite of being across from the firehall, nothing could be done...

Damn , had a few beers in that old place back in the '70's and '80's ,
loved the old floor around the pool table had to watch where you stepped as it had some soft spots back then .
