North Thompson and Clearwater River tips

Went up the North Thompson today. Does anybody have any experience with fishing it? Where to go if I wanted to fly fish it? Also, looking forward to the Clearwater opening for trout in June. Does anyone have any info on places along that river to fish (spin fishing or fly fishing)? BTW I don't have a suitable river boat, so it would be drive in or hike in for me. Thanks, anything helps :)

I always stop and wet a line on the North Thompson during the spring, summer, fall months when im driving to or from the Alberta Oil patch. There are some nice spots to fish alongside the hwy around the North Thompson provincial park area. North of Kamloops towards Clearwater. Have yet to catch anything yet. Have seen other anglers chucking spoons on occasion. Looks very fishy. I have heard there is Bull trout around. The Clearwater river looks very nice. Have not fished it yet. There is a guiding activity on that flow. You might want to google that and get more info. Cheers
