North Island Mussels Area 27

Hey All

Just curious if anybody knows why mussels are closed in Area 27 north island? Looking at the regs the its been closed since 2020. Is DFO just too lazy to go out a test and therefore blanket closure is put in place or is there a reason/risk in the area?

Probably. Remember that mussels are the first to get PSP and the last to lose it.

The natives used to tell me if you're unsure to leave some of the meat out in the open where crows are. If they don't eat it it's hot
