New to Nanaimo waters

Hi everyone any info would be helpful. I was wondering where the fingers, neck point and
Thrasher rock are located. And where are the launches located. I am going to get a map book or something similar but thought I would ask thx good fishing

You are referring to waters just around Nanaimo and Gabriola Island to the south. Definitely familiarize yourself with reefs and hazards before you go out. It's called Thrasher ROCK for a reason and is deadly if you make a error.

Brechin boat ramp is right by departure bay ferry. Charlene boat ramp is between pipers and neck point but is for small boats only.

Neck point is a park located on Hammond bay road and you can fish in close or the humps a ways off shore.

The five fingers are just outside departure bay look for all the boats!

Thrasher rock is on the south tip of gabriola island.

All sites are easily located through a quick google search.

Thx so much for the info we usually fish renfrew but it so hit and miss and can make any fisherman ill at times lol. Pender bluffs are not great either but one fish would make my day.
