Need part for an 1988 Evinrude 8hp

Friend needs the port side Stern Bracket for his 1988 Evinrude 8hp motor. The part number is 0394162. Apparently this part is the same for some 4,6,8 hp, 1984-1990 Evinrude/Johnson motors. If you can help let me know and I will pass the information along. Thanks

Lordship Marine in Vancouver carries parts for the older Johnson/Evinrude motors.
Murray is a good guy to deal with, I've taken my motors there several times for servicing.

How long can your friend wait for the product? I find ordering parts online to be very cost-efficient. I have two 1972 6 HP kickers, and I redid the entire timing system in both of them for $80 using parts off amazon. It also only took a couple days for the shipping as well. Parts are cheap online, so unless you need to go to a dealer today and pick it up, I would just search on google for the part and see who has the best price. It will be at least half of what a local dealer will charge you.
