Nanaimo area fishing

Anyone know how fishing around the Nanaimo area is these days?

Also any advice/tips that anyone could offer would be much appreciated.

Not to send someone away from this site but www.fishingvancouverisland.org has a bunch of Nanaimo guys on there with some 'recent' reports.

Not to hijack but i would love to hear where all those springs in may were from. We should make a thread when we get all the results back about hatch fish this year.

A couple years ago I returned 6 hatchery adipose clipped fish heads from chinook caught off Thrasher in June and July.The results were that 2 were from Washington (Samish Hatchery) which is near Bellingham. The other four had no tag code pin in the heads. The explanation for no pin was that a number of hatchery clipped fish are not coded-wire tagged. Its also possible pins can be missed during disection.
