Moorage recommendations - Campbell River area

Hi all,


We're looking for a longer term moorage recommendation for the Campbell River area for the July/Aug timeframe. Looking to use it as a jumping off point for Desolation Sound and fishing the East Coast of the Island. Can anyone make recommendations for a secure facility with power, water and relatively easy road access?

I like it as it's an any tide marina unlike all the others.

Discovery Harbour would be my first choice, electrical, water, and fuel all at hand. Hand carts are supplied to move your groceries etc.
Several well equiped cleaning stations, close to shopping centre, limited access from shore, and gated and patrolled.
Only cons I can think off-- parking is first come gets the closest spot, and it's not secure and on gravel with quite a bit of construction going on this year. Theft from boats does happen, and quite a few boats employ alarms. Good insurance helps too. Enjoy your stay in our beautiful town. Best tackle stores-Tyee marine and River Sportsman.
