While we have a couple of guys on this forum who are marine mechanics, there is another internet forum that is useful for Mercury ( and other makes too) engine problems.
Its Boat Doc on the iFish board out of Oregon. The Boat doc is the head mechanic for Stevens Marine , one of the larger Mercury dealership in the PNW.
