Marmoleum Flooring Hatch Trim Ideas.

So I'm doing sheet marmoleum in my boat for the entry/galley area. There's a hatch in the floor. The flooring guy wants to use a budget overlapping transition to frame the hatch. I was thinking some 5/8 stainless angle on both the hatch and floor opening. Is there a standard product that anyone's used?

We have used ( for high traffic corridors) a" T " transition helps keep the inevitable grit out . Regards
Oh good point the grit. Never thought of that. And I guess the hatch sitting on top of the exposed edge of the opening is enough to keep it from peeling up? My concern with a T was the wear when I tilt up the hatch. It's fairly big and too heavy for my wife to lift out every time.

Definitely a concern possibly add an extra "Pull" for a two person lift ? with a fine bead of silly on the hinge point of the T n round the miters
