Log Salvage Around Vancouver-Anyone?

I know there's a long complicated story behind BC log salvage and notta helluva lotta money but there are some beautiful fat Fir logs on the beach/rocks on the north side of Kits Point just waiting for a tow.

There is a log salvage fellow ( and his son) at my marina - asks me occassionally if i have seen any good logs and I try to help out when I can. They are looking for something specific so not quite sure of criteria. Plus as I understand it lots of single logs out there are already owned and may not be available to them...... just not sure about that tho.
