hey, is there anyone who fishes the west end of the lake? if so what do you use to go for the big ones and what colours work really good? i was also wondering, what depths do you run your hooks at? thanks.

Yes, we fish Kootenay Lake all year round. Usually the best lures for the big Rainbows are Bucktail flies on the surface. As specially at this time of year. Most fish are feeding on the surface.

Also run Apex's, Lyman plugs,rapalla's.

Surface is usually the best right now, but we're also catching a lot of fish down to 120 ft. So, they're everywhere.
